Jack Rua Invitational Draws Record Funding for “Camp Jack”
Golf Tournament raises $72k for The Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes
REHOBOTH, MA (September 26, 2025) – On Tuesday, September 16, People Incorporated held its annual Jack Rua Invitational at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, MA. The golf tournament raises funds to support the Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes, a program of the Diabetes Association, Inc., which is an affiliate organization of People Incorporated. Dozens of sponsors supported the event, helping to raise a record $72,000 to operate “Camp Jack.”
With 128 golfers attending, in addition to several volunteers, the day began with a brunch followed by a shotgun start of the scramble tournament at noon.

The 2024 Jack Rua Invitational winning foursome, Zak Trenteseaux, Jason Machado, Barry Goulet, and Tyler Wentworth, sponsored by Glove Cleaners & Safety Products, Inc.
The 2025 Jack Rua Invitational winning foursome was sponsored by Glove Cleaners & Safety Products, Inc. with a score of 62. The team consisted of Jason Machado, Tyler Wentworth, Barry Goulet, and Zak Trenteseaux. The first-place mixed foursome was the Southcoast Health team comprised of Dennis Swift, David Medeiros, Paul Gordon, and Leah Major, finishing with a score of 66.
Among the course contests, the tournament featured two hole-in-one contests: a $10,000 prize sponsored by Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency and a 2025 Toyota Tacoma prize sponsored by Toyota of Dartmouth. The On-the-Turn raffle contest’s sponsors were Atlantic Cleaning Co., Blue Horizon Benefits, Prominent Builders, STA Design, and Tech Service Center.
The Longest Drive contest winner was Domenic Martelli from the Mechanics Cooperative Bank foursome. Closest to the Pin contest winners were Randy Bettencourt of D.E.G. Associates, Leah Major of Southcoast Health, Lenny Silvaggio of Blue Horizon Benefits, and Michelle Estaphan Cohen.
The Putting Contest sponsor was Mechanics Cooperative Bank, which also donated the Yeti cooler for the prize. All golfers who sunk a putt were entered into a raffle for the Yeti cooler, and Rob Vitello was the winner.
The event concluded with a gathering outside on the Crestwood Country Club patio, where players bid on impressive silent auction items, vacation getaways, and raffle packages while enjoying a full cookout. The Raffle Banner Sponsor was Consumer Health Solutions.

Because of them, Camp Jack thrives and provides the crucial medical services and summer fun that kids with Type 1 diabetes need.”
