FALL RIVER, MA (June 12, 2026) – People Incorporated is proud to announce that the Agency’s President & CEO Megan Stirk has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at UMass Dartmouth.

The Leduc Center serves as a bridge between the university and the broader community, fostering partnerships that promote civic learning, volunteerism, leadership development, and meaningful community engagement. Through these efforts, the Center connects students, faculty, and local organizations to address community needs while supporting hands-on educational experiences.

A UMass Dartmouth alumna herself, Megan earned both her bachelor’s degree in accounting and her MBA from the university. Her appointment reflects a career dedicated to leadership, fiscal stewardship, and expanding opportunities for individuals and families across the SouthCoast region.

Megan began her career in public accounting, where she supervised numerous audits for clients across the United States in sectors including public housing, commercial real estate, residential land development, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations.

She joined People Incorporated in 2008 as an Accounting Manager, where she provided fiscal oversight including reporting, audits, and budget development. Her leadership within the organization continued to grow through a series of progressive roles, including Vice President of Finance in 2012, Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer in 2016, and President & CEO in 2018.

In her role as President & CEO, Megan leads People Incorporated with a focus on mission-driven service, financial stability, and long-term sustainability. She works closely with staff across the agency’s 24-hour programs and supports services delivered in day programs and residential homes throughout the community.

Megan is also an active community leader beyond People Incorporated. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association for Early Education and Care (MADCA) and is a Corporator of BayCoast Bank. In addition, she is an avid runner and has completed multiple marathons and ultramarathons.

As a member of the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement Advisory Board, Megan will contribute to guiding the Center’s mission and strengthening its partnerships across the region. The Advisory Board brings together community leaders and professionals who provide insight and support for the Center’s strategic direction and civic engagement initiatives.
