People Incorporated announces its 2023 Employee of the Year

 

RN Case Manager chosen for his dependability, professionalism, and commitment to the Agency’s mission

 

People Incorporated has named Joshua Pereira, an RN Case Manager in the Agency’s Residential Services Division, as its 2023 Employee of the Year. The title comes with a significant amount of prestige as it singles out an exemplary staff member each year among nearly 800 employees.

 

Pereira has been in the field of nursing since 2019 and joined People Incorporated in 2022. His role as an RN Case Manager includes monitoring the general health and well-being of individuals in People Incorporated’s programs and providing appropriate follow-up care and oversight. He works closely with program management to ensure healthcare guidelines are met, medication orders are fulfilled, and that documentation and practices are in compliance. Pereira also has direct care nursing responsibilities, such as administering medication, testing for infectious diseases, and providing after-hours and on-call triage or telehealth.

 

Pereira reflected on his position at People Incorporated and commented on being the 2023 Employee of the Year. “I have learned and developed a vast understanding of what it means to care and advocate for our individuals in many different scenarios and situations. I look to continue to expand my knowledge in this role every day and make a change for each of the homes I serve. It is an honor and a privilege to be on the People Incorporated team, and it is truly a team effort that allows me to do my job. I would like to thank my support system at home, including my wife Savanha for pushing me to be the best person I can be. Of course, I would also like to share this award with the entirety of the Residential Services Division, as this is a team effort, and I’m happy to be a part of such a great team.”
