The Behavior Services Division at People Incorporated is here to support administrators, staff, and individuals in a variety of ways. Besides writing behavior plans and conducting functional analyses of challenging behaviors, they can assist with creating measurable and objective Individual Service Plane (ISP) goals, teaching new skills to residents to promote independence, and training staff on mental health disorders. The Behavior Services Division also provides Safety-Care® Training, advice, and support with assistive technology concerns, while teaching effective communication to individuals. Most importantly – and the best part of the job – is fostering activity and engagement so folks are out there in the community enjoying the moments and all the little things life has to offer!

Heather Reynolds is People Incorporated’s new Behavior Services Supervisor. She started in the field in 1999 supporting children with autism and other disabilities in home-based and private school settings across Rhode Island. She pursued a master’s of science degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA) at Northeastern University while working at the New England Center for Children. In 2006, she completed the program and received her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Heather returned to the home-based setting at Seven Hills Rhode Island (SHRI) following a brief time supporting children in public schools in Worcester. She developed the ABA program for SHRI to provide intensive treatment supports for children and young adults on the autism spectrum. After 15 years in children’s services, Heather took a position at Seven Hills Community Services (SHCS) to serve adults in group home settings as well as day habilitation placements across Southeastern MA. During her time at SHCS, Heather, with her teammates, fostered a culture of “live your best life” and advocated for Positive Behavior Supports for everyone.

Heather joined the People Incorporated team in April and is looking forward to continuing her mission of providing opportunities for the individuals at People Incorporated to meet and exceed their potential and have full and meaningful lives. She and her team of Registered Behavior Technicians Jenna and Randy are passionate about the work they get to do every day.

Heather lives in Rhode Island and has two amazing children, who are her other greatest passion. When she is not at work or hanging with the kids, you will often find her behind the camera.
