Jack Rua Invitational Golf Tournament Raises $70k for The Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes
On Tuesday, September 17, People Incorporated held its annual Jack Rua Invitational at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, MA. The golf tournament raises funds to support the Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes, a program of the Diabetes Association, Inc., which is an affiliate organization of People Incorporated. Dozens of sponsors supported the event and helped it to raise a record $70,000 to operate “Camp Jack.”
With 128 golfers attending, in addition to several volunteers, the day began with a cookout lunch followed by a shotgun start of the scramble tournament at noon.
The 2024 Jack Rua Invitational winning foursome was sponsored by Servpro Team TMC with a score of 60. Servpro Team TMC’s group consisted of Tim Forbes, Chris Gagnon, Ray Marquis, and Delmar Condinho. The first-place mixed foursome was from Kahn, Litwin, Renza, & Co., comprised of Elizabeth Harman, Lauren Amaral, Casey Holt, and Brayden Puddington, who had a score of 60.
Among the course contests, the tournament featured two hole-in-one contests: a $10,000 prize sponsored by Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency and a Toyota Tacoma prize sponsored by Toyota of Dartmouth. The On-the-Turn Contest featured a cornhole bag toss to win a prize, and its sponsors were Atlantic Cleaning Co., Blue Horizon Benefits, and STA Design.

Closest to the Pin contest winners were Rene Lachapelle of RALCO Electric & Generator, Vincent Carbonneau of Prominent Builders, and Michelle Estaphan Owen.
The putting contest sponsor was Mechanics Cooperative Bank, which also donated the Yeti Cooler for the prize. All golfers who sunk a put were entered into a raffle to win the cooler.
The event concluded with a gathering inside Crestwood Country Club, where players bid on impressive silent auction and raffle package items while enjoying a full buffet.
“The sun was shining, and the players were smiling,” said People Incorporated President & CEO Megan Stirk, who was also a participant golfer. “This was such a successful event because of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and staff, who come together every year to make it a memorable tournament. It’s great to see the impressive support Camp Jack receives from them. They know that everything they do for this event goes directly to the children we serve.”
