Jack Rua Invitational Draws Record Funding for “Camp Jack”
Golf Tournament raises $75K for The Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes
REHOBOTH, MA (October 5, 2026) – On Tuesday, September 29, People Incorporated held its annual Jack Rua Invitational at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, MA. The golf tournament raises funds to support the Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes, a program of the Diabetes Association, Inc., which is an affiliate organization of People Incorporated.
Dozens of sponsors, donors, and participants combined their supported to raise a record $75,000 in funds that will go to operate “Camp Jack.”

Title Sponsors of the 2026 Jack Rua Invitational were Mechanics Cooperative Bank and Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency.
With 120 golfers attending, in addition to several volunteers, the day began with a cookout lunch on the Crestwood patio followed by a shotgun start of the scramble tournament at noon.
The 2026 Jack Rua Invitational winning foursome was sponsored by Hannoush Jewelers with a score of 63. The team consisted of Andrew Silva, Matt Oliveira, Nathan Dean, and Corey Lopes.
Among the course contests, the tournament featured two hole-in-one contests: a $10,000 prize sponsored by Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency and a 2026 Toyota Tacoma prize sponsored by Toyota of Dartmouth. The On-the-Turn raffle contest’s sponsors were Atlantic Cleaning Co., Glove Cleaners & Safety Products, and Tech Service Center.
The Men’s Longest Drive contest winner was Joe Vecchione from the Mechanics Cooperative Bank foursome; the Women’s Longest Drive contest winner was Courtney Cohen. Closest to the Pin contest winners were Mark Cyr, Laura Stirk, and Jonathan Weitz.
The Putting Contest sponsor was Mechanics Cooperative Bank, which also donated the Yeti cooler for the prize. All golfers who sunk a putt were entered into a raffle for the cooler.
The event concluded with a steak fry dinner, as players returned to the Crestwood outdoor patio and bid on impressive silent auction items and raffle packages. The Raffle Banner Sponsors were Alkeme Insurance, Bulfinch Strategies, Certified Rescue Courses, Consumer Health Solutions, and Safety Insurance.
“The weather was extremely forgiving for us as we golfed on the passing edge of a strong Nor’Easter,” said People Incorporated President & CEO Megan Stirk, who was also a participant golfer. “We raised a record amount this year because we have such a dedicated group of sponsors, participants, and volunteers. They make this a memorable event every year.
Because of them, Camp Jack carries on as the area’s premier program for kids with Type 1 diabetes.”
