Community Engagement Center

The Community Engagement Center is a specialized learning environment developed through a partnership between People Incorporated and the Fall River Public Schools. Located at the Resiliency Preparatory Academy, a division of the FRPS, the CEC aims to provide students with opportunities to succeed academically and vocationally. Services include focused tutoring, MCAS assistance, high school credit recovery, counseling to identify a career path, and training in that particular career path field. The CEC also assists in job placement and career referrals when students are prepared to enter the workforce. Current vocational tracks include programs in CNA certification, culinary arts, and direct care support in human services, each of which involves hands-on experience and work with a professional in the field.

The CEC has been a part of the increased graduation rate at the Resiliency Preparatory Academy and has assisted in placing graduates on a steady career path in a vocational field of their choice.
